We were honored to be a part of the Rosetta Mission when our client E2V developed the CCD imaging devices on board Rosetta using Compugraphics’ photomasks. Rosetta made history by launching the robot probe “Philae” on to the surface of the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko some 310 million miles from earth. The mission, which took over a decade to complete, was declared a success in August 2014.
Los Gatos & Palo Alto consolidated site and moved to a top of the range facility in Fremont, California. The expansion was driven by the acquisition of Suss Microtech’s mask shop (Image Technology) in Palo Alto, which specialized in large area photomasks. The Los Gatos and Palo Alto operations were merged meaning Compugraphics is now positioned to serve the diverging Semiconductor IC, MEMS, Advanced Packaging mask needs all from one upgraded facility in the US.
